The port of Maó once again promotes the "Every Drop Counts" campaign to encourage water conservation
The APB is reactivating this awareness initiative aimed at sailors and port users in response to increased nautical activity during the summer

This June, the Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) has reactivated in the port of Maó the environmental awareness campaign “Every Drop Counts”, an initiative that is carried out every summer with the aim of promoting responsible water consumption habits among users of nautical and port facilities.
With the arrival of the summer season, the APB is reinforcing this awareness campaign to remind people of the importance of making efficient use of water resources, especially on an island where water is a limited and strategic resource.
The campaign is aimed at mooring holders, passing sailing vessels, professionals in the nautical sector and, in general, anyone who conducts their activity in the port environment. Through clear messages and informative materials, the aim is to raise awareness about the need to adopt small daily actions that contribute to reducing water consumption without affecting the normal development of nautical activity.
The measures include the distribution of flow control devices for hoses, as well as informational material with practical recommendations to optimise water use during routine boat cleaning and maintenance tasks. These materials have been delivered to the six nautical facilities located in the port of Maó: Next Port Maó, Mô Llevant, Port de Llevant Menorca, Club Marítimo de Mahón, Marina Port Mahón and Marina del Rei.
The “Every Drop Counts” campaign is part of the initiatives that the Balearic Islands Port Authority is developing within the framework of its sustainability strategy and its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, contributing to the protection of natural resources and the promotion of more efficient and responsible water management.
With this new edition, the APB calls for the collaboration of all port users to continue moving towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly port activity model.
