Jurisdiction

  • The port authorities exercise the following authority:
  • Fulfilment, authorization and control of maritime and terrestrial operations related to harbor transit and services.
  • Planning of service zones and functions of the port.
  • Plans, projects, construction, conservation and operation of service buildings of the port and of marine signals.
  • Management of port control and marine signals.
  • Promotion of industrial and commercial activities related to maritime or port transit.
  • Coordination of the operations of the different means of transport in the port area.
