The Board of Directors of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) has agreed at its last meeting, held in Palma, to approve the bidding specifications and clauses that will govern the public tender for the management and operation of the mooring points on the Ponent quay in the port of Mahón. The duration of the concession will be 20 years.

The bidding specifications stipulate a complete renovation of the facilities, removing all existing elements from the water and rearranging the mooring places to significantly improve the quality of the service provided to the vessels moored there.

The concession area covers more than seventeen thousand square metres of public port domain, and the yearly concession fee will be a minimum of 47,000 euros.
