Today, the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) completed the work on the structural reinforcement of the earth retaining wall on the access road to the Formentor lighthouse.

The president of the Consell de Eivissa, Vicent Marí, the mayor of Eivissa, Rafel Ruiz, and the president of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Jaume Colom, met this week to address the needs arising from the arrival of several cruise ships at the same time in the port of Ibiza.
This issue was discussed at the last Mayors' Council meeting, in which an agreement was reached on the need to coordinate the island's public transport, municipal and port services to satisfy cruise passengers arriving on our island, which is why it was necessary to have updated information on the Port Authority's forecasts for cruise ship gangways and passengers.
At this meeting, the APB presented the updated forecasts and it was agreed to create a working group made up of technicians from the three administrations involved to reinforce the presence of regular buses, taxis and the City Boat service. In addition, the shipping companies will be asked in a coordinated manner to inform all their passengers on board of all forms of public transport available when they arrive on the island.
Museum of the Sea
The president of the Consell de Eivissa and the president of the Port Authority have also discussed the future works planned for the Museu del Mar (Museum of the Sea). In this sense, both administrations have made clear their desire to work on this project and to make it a reality as soon as possible in order to revitalise the Port area, create a differentiated product and highlight the history and customs of the sea on our island.
